I have a diagnosis / disability

Students with a long-term illness, a disability or an urgent temporary health issue (broken leg, car accident etc.) have the possibility to have their study conditions modified to compensate for the symptoms of their illness. This is not a question of favouritism, but of ensuring that the conditions of study are as equal as possible for all.

Some illnesses are not visible and yet can interfere significantly with life. People with visible physical disabilities, but also those whose difficulties are invisible – people with depression, ADHD, epilepsy, learning disabilities or autistic spectrum disorders – are classed as students with special needs. A medical report or other professional certification of health is a condition for inclusion in the support scheme.

If you have a document in a language other than Czech, please send us the original along with an English translation (it is not necessary to have it notarized).

If this applies to you, register for the support scheme for students with special needs. You can then have accommodations to your study conditions set up. Here you can find more information and contact details of the ELSA Support Centre staff you can book an initial consultation with, depending on your type of difficulty.
