Rest

To perform well, you need to have enough energy, among other things. If you don’t continuously replenish your energy, you run the risk of your performance and mood fluctuating.

You charge your phone regularly and make sure it doesn’t run out of power. That’s how careful you have to be with your „internal battery“ as well.

You need different kinds of rest at different times. Watching movies or Netflix shows all the time won’t give you the rest you need.

The types of rest are: physical, mental, emotional, social, sensory, creative and spiritual.

Tips

  • Plan your rest well and regularly. In addition to longer holidays, plan shorter periods of time when you rest during the day. 
  • Include short breaks during the day, even 10 minutes can re-energise you and improve your attention span and ability to remember.
  • Try different ways to relax than just Netflix. Get creative without demanding results or listen to music.
  • Spend time in nature. Time spent in nature reduces anxiety symptoms, relieves stress symptoms, and improves memory and attention. Time spent in a city park provides these positives as well.
  • Rest continuously. When your cell phone battery runs out, it takes much longer to get it charged again. It works the same way with your „internal battery“.
